The Arnold P. Gold Foundation – Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) Gold Guide

“The Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) was created by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation in 2002 as a way to identify and honor medical students, residents, fellows, and physicians in practice who not only show intellectual excellence, but who have outstanding personal and clinical skills and who fostered special bonds with their patients and colleagues.”

GHHS has developed and is sharing a new resource (the GHHS Gold Guide) to support others in the creation of compassionate and supportive healthcare learning environments … “to enhance compassion and support for patients and health care providers alike.”

Sample Topics:

Holding On To Humanistic Values

Transitions in Medical School

Mentoring Programs

Curricular Connection

Maintaining Wellness

Community Service

Awards and Oaths

This is a wonderful example by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation of open sharing and leading by serving others.

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation not only encourages you to implement programs to enhance your learning environment but to also measure the impact and share widely.

Only together and collaboratively will we fan the flames of goodness within the healthcare system and address the challenges before us.
