As the light begins to rise above the mountain (noting the summit remains still in the distance) I am reminded of many blessings along this writing path … and the gratitude I hold in my heart for so many.
Below is only a small sampling …
For my bride as her support never wavers as I manage the ups and downs of the writing process …
For my daughter Samantha as she entertains and grabs my attention and opens my eyes to a world of modeling and more I never knew existed …
For my son who shares so many interests with me and gets me both out of my head and out of my house …
For my daughter Haylee who has so much goodness in her heart and soul and helps to create balance in my life by also getting me out of my head and house both on the tennis courts and as she prepares for the Miss Teen Maine USA pageant …
For my puppy who is with me every step of the way …
For Laura Probert who encourages so many writers every day, and who also saw something in my poetry and has decided to publish one of my poems in her soon to be released book Warrior Soul …
For Joe Tye who early on shared generously from his heart as he encouraged my journey …
For Michelle Segar who graciously shares her words of wisdom, encouragement, and her wonderful book “No Sweat” …
For Emmett Pickett and his vision of Location Green for his “edu-taining” and continued call to action to serve others wisely …
For Rachel Sachs Steele for her never wavering amazing friendship and keen writing insights …
For Ellen Smith Hedger for her willingness and openness to have me on her radio show the ChatterBox to share my writing story and my perspectives on relationship centered and compassionate care …
For Kristin Sunanta Walker for the opportunity to join her on Mental Health News Radio to also discuss my writing journey and so much more …
For Susan Shaner who inspired the name for my book “From Heart to Head and Back Again … a journey through the healthcare system” …
For Kathy Fries who is a friend, an inspiration, and one of the most heart-centered people you will ever meet …
For all my new friends at Planet Fitness who always ask “How is the book coming?” and “What chapter are you on?” as well as sharing stories of their own health and healthcare challenges as inspiration. Each day you all encourage my mind as we train our bodies …
For all those who have reached out to share interest in joining the Dahlborg Healthcare Leadership Group (DHLG). You are all so amazing with a combination of heart, mind and soul …
For my parents, family, friends, and so many others for all you do to serve others, love thy self (for only when we are each whole will we be able to give all of ourselves to others), and inspire many …
This writing journey is new and scary …
… and exciting …
… and only because of you am I still climbing and gaining on the summit …
Blessings and love to you all …
God, thank you for the blessings
you have bestowed upon me today.
Help me share your generosity and love
with those I meet.~ author unknown
